The Reason

My co-workers said I should have a blog for all the whacked out things I come up with, so...

Finally Friday!

Oh wow... what a day! I'm beat. But at least my feet are up, nice red wine is in my glass, and my sweetie is beside me.

I miss the Mac David Show. Anyone remember that one? Showing my age, I know, but I am glad I'm old enuf to remember him... He had a musical variety show that was good, but at the end? He walked around in the audience and would ask them to give him a subject or a sentence and BAM! Right there on the spot he would start singing a song! It amazed me. But I find myself doing it all the time! Well, I'm not talented enuf to come up with  the music, so I change the lyrics to songs I already know. Not unlike Weird Al, but I give credit where credit is due. Mac, thanks for a life time of enjoyment!

Lex finds it amusing but always calls me goofy. LOL! For example, If I have a job that has a bunch of boards involved (guess I should say I'm an electronic tech, huh?) and no apparent end in sight, I'll start singing
"This is the Job that never ends. It just goes on and on my friend! some people started building them not knowing what they'd do and we'll continue changing them forever just because... " Annoying as hell I know, but that's the purpose of it, right? lol. Bet you "sing" it long after your done reading this blog... Betcha!

I might as well get this out in the open now, cuz I know I'll be talking about them in the not too distant future... I AM A DIE HARD BENGALS FAN!!!  I love them. Say what you will about them, they are my boys. And let me add WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE T.O.!!! (Ocho sugar, you got competition for my favorite Bengal now... Sorry babe. Can't help myself...) I first really started loving them when I was a younger woman and worked at a place called the Village Ice Cream Parlor in Lebanon and they came in for a "make your own sundae" party. It was too cool. And let me tell ya, those boys could put away the ice cream! LMAO! I think the owner actually lost money on that one...

So tomorrow is my birthday. Another year older but thankfully much wiser. I love birthdays. They don't have to be mine, I just love a reason to make a cake and embarrass people (which is really a put on I feel) and make a big hoopla about their special day. It just feels kind of awkward when it's me cuz I do it so much for others. lol. When I worked 3rd shift, I went around and collected money and made a homemade cake or a fancy iced one or even taco dip if the B.D. person didn't like sweets, right Clay? ; ) It was so much fun doing it. I really miss it. But on 1st shift, there are just too many people. I've done it for a few of my closest friends, but I miss it.

Ok, Kev's getting impatient. Not really. i'm just saying that. But enough is enough and I'm out of thoughts for the day.

Have a peaceful night and TTYL!
